In a rapidly modernizing world, technology has transformed the way we interact with the world, but it has also changed the basic tools necessary to survive in today’s workplace and classroom—and that includes broadband access. While 96% of Californians enjoy readily available broadband, 1.4 million residents, mainly living in rural and remote areas like many of our neighbors here in district 3, do not have access to high speed internet. We need to continue expanding broadband infrastructure in an efficient, well-planned manner so that all Californians can further their education, business, and personal management needs.
